UI / UX Design
User experience is partially the main reason I fell into design. I've always been inspired by the psychology aspect of design. This focuses on the "why" as oppose to the "how". This is how we separate ourselves from other designers. Any designer can demonstrate how they design, a great designer deconstructs their approach to a project and explains why they chose the methods they did. There's no difference between UX design and simple storytelling. We focus on the narrative and how a design can lead a user from the beginning of the journey to the end is a cohesive, positive way. I,e: storytelling.

UI/UX
ClearMatch® Redesign
For the past year, our goal was to give MyClearMatch a complete redesign. The goal was to generate new brand guidelines with a modern feel while assisting our target audience. Trusted by millions, our goal is to assist those qualified for Medicare/Medicaid and get them the help they need.
UI/UX
Modal Redesign
All our websites such as Medicare Comparison Shop and Medicare Solutions fall under the same umbrella, HealthPlanOne, LLC. That being said, my redesign of the form modal was applied to our existing sites.

The Problem
Low conversation rate when it comes to completing the modal.

The Solution
Design a friendly, similar way for those 65 years or older to apply for Medicare/Medicaid.

The Result
The updated design resulted +13% to +25% increase in lead CVR across domains.

AI
Okay, let's talk about it.
As a designer, I believe the most essential skills to have are: versatility and adaptability. The topic of everyone's mind, at the moment, is the use of AI in marketing. I think 2026 will be the year we must accept that it is here to stay. So, just like the dawn of digital design, we must adapt. I believe we are experiencing the next evolution of design. However, I do not believe it is here to take our job or to conquer the world (fingers crossed).

AI should be, and remain, a tool. If it can provide paid social ads in minutes, great. This allows designers to get more projects done in a day. Quantity will then equal profit.

In terms of UI/UX, here's what I'm thinking. It's no secret AI can build an app or a website in minutes, and the quality of those designs are just going to improve. This eliminates the UI aspect of storytelling. However, it is my belief that UX design will flourish in this next chapter we're all about to step in. AI still needs someone to manage it, and can't design without the human influence. This is where we come in. UX design will be the future for all visual designers. As Dr. Alan Grant once said, "We'll just have to evolve too".
